OQ Base Industries posted a strong year, driven by record production of ammonia (343,000 MT) and LPG (366,000 MT) thanks to improved reliability and fewer shutdowns. All major plants — methanol, ammonia, and LPG — ran above 100% capacity, reflecting solid operational performance.
Even though total revenue dipped slightly to RO 226 million due to lower LPG prices and volumes, the company still delivered a higher net profit of RO 47.7 million, supported by efficiency gains and cost control. Based in the Salalah Free Zone, OQBI remains Oman’s only integrated producer of methanol, ammonia, and LPG, exporting most of its output and maintaining a strong role in the country’s industrial sector.
