Sustainability mandate

As part of the larger OQ group, OQBI is actively committed to sustainability across its operations, aligning with global initiatives such as the Paris Agreement and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). Our sustainability strategy integrates environmental, social and economic aspects, while emphasising energy efficiency, emissions reduction and the advancement of renewable energy projects.

OQBI’s approach to sustainability includes reducing the company’s carbon footprint by considering green hydrogen projects and managing water consumption efficiently. We are also focused on the sustainability of our operational framework, including the integration of renewable energy and efforts to manage and minimise environmental impacts across production processes.

Furthermore, OQ has made significant investments in decarbonisation and is working to align its operations with Oman’s Vision 2040, which focuses on sustainable development and environmental stewardship.

Aligned with our commitment to building an inclusive society and creating opportunities for all, OQBi funded the establishment of Salalah Autism Center, the first center in Dhofar to provide quality care for persons with autism spectrum disorder and support their families and communities.

In line with our commitment to meeting the aspirations of our communities and contributing to achieving their goals, we are pleased to launch this platform to receive requests for sponsorship and support for community programs and projects. This is part of our ongoing partnership to promote sustainable and purposeful initiatives.

Note: Please submit your request at least two months prior to the date of the project/event.

    Please attach the following documents when submitting your request

    1. An official government letter addressed to OQ Base Industries, specifying the purpose of the request and organization details.

    2. A detailed proposal for the project/program/event, including:

    • 2.1. Objectives of the project/event

    • 2.2. Target audience

    • 2.3. Implementation timeline

    • 2.4. Main activities

    • 2.5. Outputs and impact of the project/event

    • 2.6. Sponsorship categories

    3. Project / event budget plan.

    4. Any other supporting documents such as partnership letters, approvals from relevant authorities, or previous reports, etc.

    Note: Incomplete requests or those missing required documents will not be considered.

    Submission Requirements:

    Please ensure the following conditions are met before submitting the request:
    • The applicant organization must be officially licensed and registered.
    • The project/program must provide environmental, social, and economic value without causing any negative impact on other aspects.
